Technical Support Engineer

Technical Support Engineer. My client, a software firm based in Gillingham, Kent, are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join an expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a great fast moving IT company. The company pride themselves on high level of customer support and career prospects for all of their employees.

This is a technical support position based in the Gillingham offices as well as out on customer site visits. You will mainly be dealing with the day to day support of clients either remotely or on site. Looking after both business clients and schools.

This role will involve but not be limited to the following:

  • Fixing Monitor/VGA cable issues
  • Replacing/repairing network cables
  • Installing basic client software
  • Registering warranties
  • Ensuring and fixing projectors/whiteboards for the classrooms
  •  Resetting users passwords and unlocking user accounts
  • Replacing keyboards/mice
  • Housekeeping on PCs
  • Fixing logon issues
  • Changing backup tapes
  • Liaising with third party suppliers as and when needed
  • Diagnosis of faults

Preferably candidates come from an IT background and have some experience with dealing with Windows 7/10/Mac and Office applications.  The candidate must be smartly presented, highly eager, have own car and driving license.

As a Technical Support Engineer at this company you will be rewarded with a basic salary up to £20,000 as well as a benefits package and the use of a company car.
