Safety Engineer – Portsmouth (1 x a week) – Upto £55K pa

My client are a global leading business, looking to add Safety Engineering talent to their Product Safety team. Working with a diverse range of complex state-of-the-art systems, the Product Safety team are a pivotal function to the business.

The Safety Engineer will support the assurance cases of a product family in one of their sectors, whilst developing safety arguments. The successful candidate may also be responsible for the assurance of the test and support equipment used during the development, servicing and maintenance of them, in addition to ensuring that safety considerations are considered in the design process.

Knowledge & Experiences

• Hold Engineering/Systems/Safety degree or equivalent that supports or is working towards IEng status;
• Clear understanding of safety engineering & assurance principles
• Knowledge of relevant safety legislation & standards
• Experienced and qualified engineers from other disciplines who display the correct behaviours and have an understanding of safety engineering, will actively be considered for this role
• An understanding of product development and delivery lifecycles

As a Safety Engineer working for this company you will be earning a basic salary of up to £55,000 and will be entitled to a fantastic range of company benefits.
